About the Author - Will Strivers

Will Strivers is a children's book author and community advocate based in the Boston area. His debut picture book "Malcolm and Martin Become Friends" book teaches children ages 4-8 about conflict resolution, friendship, and choosing unity over division through the story of two Black boys.

Originally from Washington, DC, Will brings over 15 years of experience in youth development and program services to his storytelling. Since 2010, he has worked directly with young people in mentorship and educational settings, witnessing firsthand the challenges children face in navigating friendships and resolving conflicts.

Through Good Father Publishing LC, Will self-publishes books that combine compelling narratives with social-emotional learning themes. His work celebrates Black boys while offering universal lessons applicable to all children about communication, empathy, and community building. His mission is to create stories that show children—especially Black boys—that they can be completely different and still be united. That being brilliant and being kind aren't mutually exclusive. That conversation creates solutions while conflict creates problems.
